About myself

Hello, I’m Eliza Wei, and I’m passionate about teaching cello to students aged 3 to 99! With my background in classical and art music, I aim to create a warm and engaging atmosphere in each lesson. For young children, I incorporate playful games and imagery to instil strong technique from day one, setting small goals to keep them motivated. Teenagers enjoy lessons tailored to their goals and musical preferences, all while ensuring progress through achievable weekly targets. For adults and older learners, I focus on healthy, tension-free playing and adapt my teaching to meet your individual objectives, whether you are a complete beginner or preparing for ABRSM exams. I teach in both English and Mandarin, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and supported on their musical journey.

  • I came back to the cello after 10 years away. Eliza helped me find my way around the instrument again, and I’m now playing better than I did before my break. Every lesson is informative and genuinely useful.

  • Jane started cello with Eliza at age 8 with no previous experience. She now plays in her school orchestra and practises without being reminded. Eliza gives her practical techniques and advice that have helped her progress quickly.
